C&C 750ml. Silky chocolate woven with the faintest hint of smoke on the nose. Anise, darker fruits and cocoa powder all with a hint of sourness. Pours a dark, opaque brown with a thin film of gray. Lots of black liquorice and anise initially on the tongue. Dark, tannic fruit skin. The smoke on the nose is lost on the tongue. A bit of tart acidity on the finish. Rather lush and silky on the tongue with smooth carbonation. Thanks Levi!

750 ml bottle, i think a 2007. Ebony with a smooth tan head. Nose is cocoa, prunes and coffee. Smooth and rich with tongue buzzing carb. Taste is dark roast and chocolate pudding. Hints of licorice and sassafras. Yummy.

Darkest pour with lots of nice head. Roasted malty aromas with sweet dark fruit and chocolate. More roasted and burnt malt flavors. Dark, dried fruit and some dustiness on the finish. Excellent Porter.

Edition 2008 a 10%. Cremeuse a souhait. 10% 2008 edtion. very creamy. Dark fruits, chocolate, coffee and alcohol dominate. Average head that lasts for quite long for a 10% abv beer. I have one aging for a couple of years...

2007 bottle with a different label (bistro l*autre oeil) from glouglouburp.

pours a reddish brown shade of opaque black topped by a medium sized orange tinted cafe au lait colored head. slight horizontal trails of lacing. big time tar/asphalt aroma followed by fudgey chocolate, nice tobacco, vanilla, licorice, scalded cream, bruised red apples, fresh strawberries (yep), umami and a slight acidity. fairly sweet palate though less than the majority of baltics. it*s cut nicely by a bitterness and great sourness. flavors of chocolate, toasty grain, black raisins, brown sugar, five spice spiciness and black licorice with an ashy charred finish. coffee joins the aftertaste party. medium body. super slick texture. prickly carbonation and char make the sugar almost a non issue and make it a whole bunch easier to drink in quantity. 8/4/8/4/16/4.0

bomber bottle courtesy of fordest. Pours a dark black with a full tan head. The aroma is moderate with molasses and chocolate. The flavor shows lots of rich chocolate along with coffee, mocha and brown sugar. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Overall: A very robust and flavourful Baltic Porter, one I would like to try again sometime.

Bouteille 750ml.

750 ml bottle labeled as Porter Baltique poured a clear dark brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of smoke, dark chocolate, raisins and light molasses. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of smoke, bakers cocoa, dark fruit and roasted malt with a smooth dry lingering malty finish.
