| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2007 Thanks to hogfodder to the bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma is of bananas, but not as much as a typical weizen, with other good hoppy aromas. In the mouth, it’s very malty, in a unique way. BeerandBlues2 (3231), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours hazy orange with a small, fizzy,
white head, somewhat diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, straw, nutty),
average hops (citrus, flowers), average yeast (dough, horse blanket) with notes of wheat and
dust. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation and a bitter finish. Average
duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light to medium amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly yeasty (mold, basement, dust), with light notes of orange/lemon juice and cotton candy. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Slightly unpleasant type of sourness (like off orange juice), and not much enticing in the aroma either. I wouldn’t call this ale a weizenbock, nor is it even German in style. Some hints of witbier, but not much...to me it’s just a strong wheat ale. SSSteve (2104), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Bottle. Pours with a hazy copper to yellow color. Nice aromas of cloves and bananas and yeast. Fruity flavors, banana, bread, spices. A mix of a true wheat and a Belgian. A bit of alcohol hotness in the finish. I found this beer very enjoyable. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2007 First Pyramid, now this imperial wheat arrives, must be the new hot style. Pours cloudy amber/orange with a soft white head. Like a belgian triple, lots of spices, citrus and tart fruits. Strong wheat flavor throughout. Faint lemon flavor in the finish. You do get the bock maltiness in the finish, earthy caramel, but I had to hunt to find it. Ventures furthing into belgian styles then most wheat beers i’ve had. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Sep 6, 2007 really doesn’t smell too bad. Taste is nothing but strong wheat and alcohol. Just not a combo style I find necessary (first tried was Pyramids). Lots of banana. TimE (1364), Tokyo, Japan
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2007 This highly phenolic brew drank like a big red wine with raspberries, blackberries and dark cherries. Reminded me a syrah, with phenols that somehow works.
