Slightly plasticy aroma with hints of other phenols, banana and lots of sugary malts. Sweet, soft and sugary with phenols, banana and a little alcohol in the finish. I like my weizens sweet but this is perhaps more than I can handle. argo0 (7006), Washington DC, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2008 750ml bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis (thanks!). 2008 Vintage. Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus, and reminded me of a orange creamsicle. Tastes of that same orange creamsicle, wheat, and light spices. Light alcohol in the finish. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 12, 2006 Dark cloudy golden pour, bordering opacity, the head is tight, white and rather small, diminishing slowly from its initial state to leave a simple cover. A good dose of crunchy cerealic malts, almost toasty, accompany the estery yeastiness in the nose. The phenolic cloves come out nicely, imparting a welcomed spiciness to this globally sweet product, but also offering smokey undertones which fit the caramelised sugars. Raw pureed bananas seems to be of more significance in the aroma than taste, the latter being more confounded with alcohol nuances that are accentuated by the uplifting roundness. Surprisingly not very complex flavors, but the cohesion of the different ingredients and global focus deserves a quality experiment stamp. A round and fruity strong wheat beer that manages to be sweet and refreshing thanks to the wheat’s integration. Certainly an appealing new direction for this brewery. hopscotch (5543), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Bottle… Hazy yellow ale with a large, frothy, white head. Excellent retention. The fruity, yeasty aroma provides esters of banana and bubblegum, moderate clove phenols and notes of bread dough and perspiration. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Medium sweetness with light to moderate bitterness. Banana and vanilla. Restrained tanginess in the finish. Props to mgumby10 for providing the bottle! CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Bottle: Pours a hazy orange bronze with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet wheat with some clove and lemon citrus with a hint of vinegar notes. Body starts with a decent sweetness and some doughy yeasty flavor balanced with spicy clove and banana esters toward a semi-dry finish. Could have a little more caramel flavors and a nicer aroma, but otherwise a decent weizenbock.
