750ml bottle shared by WeeHeavySD vis trade with boutip/ poured dark brown with off white head. very sweet and malty, sightly sticky finish with good carmel notes, not sure how old the bottle was, but it went down very smooth, no hint of alcohol.

On tap at Brouhaha, aged 6 months. Very dark pour, nearly black, with minimal off white head. Aroma is interesting; spicy, almost a hint of chipotle, along with dark fruity esters and sweet malt. Flavor is intense; dark fruit abound, with heavy spice, malt character, cherry, and brown sugar prevailing as well- very much like a barleywine. Palate is very nice; smooth, and the alcohol sticks brilliantly. Really nice brew.

Dar brown, almost black pour with ruby brown tints and minimal head. Aroma is fruity esters and capsaicin based spice. Caramel and raisin come through as well with hints of citrus. Intense dark fruit and caramel flavors. Chilli notes are ever so noticeable, with roasted malt and brown sugar also prevalent. Wheat malt character is interesting and unique. Very thick and full palate. Perfect amount of carbonation. Very well balanced, and a great example of the style.

Bonus corked and caged 750ml, from boutip, thank you sir! 2009 vintage. Shared with bikesandbeer and my gf cyn. Pours deep reddish brown with a thin layer of tan head. Nose is very sweet and malty. Taste is sweet, with big toffee rich apple notes. Yummy big and nicely warming, not hot by any means.

750 ml bottle on mancation at Mondiale 09. Pours a deep ruby brown with an initial big fluffy head but fades a bit due to the high abv. Aroma is caramel, nutty, rich toffee, very fruity esters, plum and banana, toffee, light roast and chocolate with spices- phenol, pepper and grassy. Flavor is sweet, molassess, toffee, brown sugar, banana liquor, plum raisin, light apple, hints of nutty malty chocoalte, hints of roast, prunes, apricot and spice. Mouthfeel is pretty good- modest carbonation and a good aftertaste. Not bad for a huge weizenbock.

Bottle of the 2009 vintage from the Marche Atwater in Montreal. Pours a nice mahogany color with a medium sized light tan head. Smells sweet and malty, with nice sugary notes a touch of molasses, and a really nice toast note that develops as the beer warms. Still a bit hot, and alcohol notes appear just about everywhere. Medium bodied with a nice thick amount of malt. Finishes a little bitter, but still malty, with a bit of dark fruit and chocolate.
