Bottle courtesy of Viper666. 2007 bottle. Pours a murky, bubbly, deep ruby-brown with a huge long lasting creamy beige head. Decent lacing. (4+) Aroma of sweet malt, some roastness, chocolate, dark fruit, brown sugar and a hint of sourness (would be an 8 if it were a bit less mild). Flavour of sweet malt, dark fruit, chocolate, some sourness and some bitterness in the finish -- somewhat vineous as well. Alcohol’s well hidden for 10%. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Not as great as I expected but this is still a very good beer, I enjoyed it.

Je ne comprend pas. Je ne perçois qu’une cacophonie gustative sur fond de problème de levure. 2ième expérience identique.

341 ml bottle from taktik_MTL, thanks Marc:). Man this was good, to good in fact. This is something that might make me drive north of the border way sooner then I planned. Poured a deep dark brown with red highlights and a smallish head. Complex aroma of raisins, dark fruit and sugar, malt and slight hops. Flavor was similar with hardly any noticeable alcohol and was incredibally smooth and drinkable.

Bouteille 2007.

Bottle. Dark brown cloudy body with low carbonation and an average beige foamy head. Nice malty aroma with yeasty, earthy and brown sugar notes. Alcohol is perfectly hidden. Very well balanced malty/hoppy taste. It carries yeasty, oaky and vineous hints. Ends with a decent warming finish. Very enjoyable!

Bottle from quebec. Super-dark weizen bock, very sweet and malty. Pour is very interesting in that it is superbly dark at its core, but light brown highlights shine throughout the beer. A nice biege cap sits on top. Aroma is vinous and malty, caramel, hearts of palm, peas. Lots of very sweet, gooey, cheap chocolate sticks out in the flavor, complimented by thick molasses and a kind of gravy taste. Thick and warming in the mouth. Atypical for a weizenbock for sure but a very solid beer. Especially at 10%, this makes a fantastic winter beer. Too bad it’s already spring!
