Bottle. Dark brown body with a big creamy tan-khaki head. Sweet sugary caramel aroma with light alcohol in the background. Very similar flavour, lots of rich malty caramel, light sugars, mild fruity undertones. Alcohol is pleasantly noticable, understated for 10%! Alcohol starts to come out a bit more as it warms, and threatens to be a nuisance if it gets too warm but it is tasty enough that it does not last that long. Creamy medium palateis very nice. More bock than weizen. Delicious! Most pleasant surprise in a while.

341 ml bottle from taktik_MTL, thanks Marc:). Man this was good, to good in fact. This is something that might make me drive north of the border way sooner then I planned. Poured a deep dark brown with red highlights and a smallish head. Complex aroma of raisins, dark fruit and sugar, malt and slight hops. Flavor was similar with hardly any noticeable alcohol and was incredibally smooth and drinkable.

Very dark brown in colour, large dissipating tan coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is rich, slightly burnt, lots of earthy malts, dark fruits, good sweetness, some chocolate. The flavour has some yeast, dark fruits, chocolate, chewy, some light alcohol starts to come through. Full mouthfeel, medium/large body, high carbonation. Finishes warm with a lingering malty sweetness. Alcohol isn’t overpowering, good balance, smooth for a 10% beer. This brewery is starting to get exciting.

750 ml Bottle: Clouded chestnut brown with ruby highlights. Puffy beige cap that lasts and laces Rich and complex with flavors; cocoa, roast, berries, smoke, earthyness dried fruit, tobacco, hrbacious hopping and a long wet complex finish. Like a lighter version of a dark barley wine, Wonderful winter warmer.

Bottle (341ml). Via trade with Viper666 - thanks, J-F!. Poured thick murky deep brown with a smallish beige fizzy/creamy head - looks mysterious and I’m stoked to drink it (4+). Smells lovely - honey, chocolate, caramel malt, alcohol, some herbal bitterness - really, this smells terrific. Taste - wow. Just; wow. Thick, chocolate and toffee, tons of sweet malt, ear-warming but not "hot" - like an awesome scotch ale with more chocolate character. Wow. Thick, thick, thick body, mild carbonation, a little astringency trying - and failing - to compete with the lush malt and alcohol character - ultimately well balanced and just what I wanted on a cold winter day. I want more. I must conclude Snoro doesn’t like beer - perhaps if you don’t like dark beer you 1) shouldn’t drink it 2) shouldn’t down-check it just because you don’t like it. Jesus.

12 oz bottle that I found in my cooler after RBSG 2007. Thanks to whoever brought this! 2007 vintage. Cloudy reddish brown with a brown head. Nice, thick lace. Rich caramel nose, light banana, molasses, raisin and clove all jump out. Very rich body. Chewy malts, molasses and fruit flavors dominate, and the spices meander in late - clove, something peppery and a bit of yeastiness and banana. Excellent stuff - is there such a thing as an Imperial Weizen? No alcohol noticed, shocking at 10%.
