Interesting beer and pretty good but not quite as strong as I was expecting. The color is a bright gold. Aroma is banana, cloves, yeast and some spicy hops. The flavor starts with some banana, yeast and some vanilla then spicy citrus hops. However, it’s rather easy drinking and refreshing, which I have no problem with, but I was expecting more of a kick. Other than a minor alcoholic sour note in the finish the abv is masked very well. A good beer for sure but not the easiest to find and there are so many good beers out there to fill this purpose I may have just enjoyed my one and then forget about it.

Jul 11, 2008 On tap at l’Autre Oeil (Gatineau). Nice cloudy golden/orange body with a decent white foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with grainy and spicy hints. Alcohol is perfectly hidden. Sharp hoppy taste with coriander, herbal, and honeyish notes. Ends with a robust, long bittersweet finish. Well done!

Jun 27, 2008 Bouteille de 750 ml. La bière se présente avec une robe dorée très voilée surmontée d’une belle mousse blanche qui diminue lentement. Au nez on découvre des arômes de blé, de pois verts, de levure, de fleurs et d’agrumes. En bouche le corps est moyen avec une effervescence moyenne. On goûte des saveurs d’alcool. de fleurs, de levure et de citron. Goûte beaucoup l’alcool.

Jun 23, 2008 Slight hue caramel color. Orange aroma, spicey candied coriander and ester. Some ginger notes. Some alcohol but well hidden for 10%. Same spice taste as La Fin du Monde, but less. I wasn’t expecting much but this was good.

Jun 23, 2008 Pours avery light amber with a small head. Aroma is spices, malt, apple, and clove. Flavor is light sweetness finishing tart. Interesting, not what I was expecting, but I like it.

Jun 19, 2008 My bottle said 8% abv. The body was hazy dark gold with a white head. The aroma was funky, spicy and tart. There was some definite apple. It smelled like a Unibroue made tripel. The taste was funky dry with some tart cherries. There were also some apples. Interesting.
