Belle mousse fine, pas très tenace, mais l’effervescence la nourrie constamment. Belle couleur rouge orangée, un peu voilée. Arômes de noix, chanvre, légère acidité. Attaque acide et amère, notes d’érable, de noix et de chanvre. Ronde sans être très malté, franche et assez sèche. Étalement assez long amère et légèrement métallique.

On tap at Vices et Versa. This beer has a sweet aroma and taste of caramel and malt. You can also sence the presents of fruit. There is some bitter taste and aftertaste to this one. Very good a do again.

Un parfum discret, une belle apparence, un bon petit goût en bouche, pas d’arrière-goût. Une bière qui surprend positivement un peu comparativement à d’autres bières dans la moyenne.

Bottle courtesy of Viper666. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size diminishing white head. Very mild aroma of caramel malt and spices. Malty flavour with hints of smoke, spices and a light hop bitter finish. Medium bodied, dry mouthfeel. Pretty good stuff!

Draught, 20 ounces, savoured at Fou en fût on September 17 2006; eye: red with beige head, clear, no effervescence, lacing; nose: hops, caramelized malt, unknown odour (hemp?), brown sugar; mouth: caramelized malt, hemp (?), finale in hemp with a hint of pepper and other spices, full body, creamy and slightly grainy texture, mildly bitter, lightly sweet FRANÇAIS Fût, 20 onces, savouré au Fou en fût le 17 septembre 2006; oeil : rousse avec mousse beige, claire, pas d’effervescence, dentelle; nez : houblon, malt caramélisé, odeur inconnue (chanvre?), cassonade; bouche : malt caramélisé, chanvre (?), finale en chanvre avec une pointe de poivre et d’autres épices, corsé, texture crémeuse et légèrement granuleuse, moyennement amère, légèrement sucrée

En fût. Pinte dégustée chez Benelux (Montréal, QC). Arôme: Odeur de caramel et de cassonade. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel avec une pointe d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. (Rating #772)

Dark brown. with beige head. Light roasted aroma with a touch of malts. Flavour is light bitters, light rosted malts. Oily body.

This is better than I expected. Good colour, not much of a nose, decent lacing, though not too thick on the glass. I like the roastiness of this beer. Matly, almost peaty on the tongue. Mild finish. I was surprised. I wouldn’t rush out to buy it, but if it is foisted in your hand, don’t be afraid!
