Bottle - 341ml. Hazy pale blond body with average carbonation and a huge white frothy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with some grassy, flowery, and corny hints. Taste is misbalanced and carries some CO2, paperish, and metallic notes. Ends with a short bittersweet, sour finish. This is the worst beer from Les Trois Mousquetaires I ever had. Good thing they took it off the market because it doesn’t compare to the rest of their products.

Brown bottle, 341 ml, purchased at Le marché de chez nous on April 11 2009, savoured on May 24 2009; eye: pale straw, clear, really good effervescence, voluminous white head made up of rather large bubbles, slight lacing; nose: light malt, slight hops, light corn; mouth: slight malt, slight hops, corn, light finale in malt with a small presence of hops, quite carbonated, light body, slightly bitter, lightly grainy, slight astringency; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 341 ml, achetée chez Le marché de chez nous le 11 avril 2009, savourée le 24 mai 2009; œil : paille pâle, claire, très bonne effervescence, mousse blanche volumineuse formée de bulles plutôt grosses, très légère dentelle; nez : léger malt, très léger houblon, léger maïs; bouche : très léger malt, très léger houblon, maïs, finale légère en malt avec une petite présence de houblon, très carbonatée, corps léger, très légèrement amère, légèrement granuleuse, très légère astringence; en résumé : correct

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur jaune et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle avec des notes de céréales, léger de levures fruitées (agrumes, notes de pommes vertes) et léger de houblon herbeux aux petites notes florales. Mince-moyen en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et légèrement croustillant ainsi qu une texture légèrement aqueuse et aux petites notes huileuses. Léger-moyen goût de levures fruitées (agrumes, traces de pommes vertes) accompagné dun léger goût de grains de malt pâle lors de lentrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de céréales sucrées avec des traces de miel puis en finale lon retrouve une très légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes mouillées) aux notes florales et asséchantes. Post-goût court-moyen et moyennement sec, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux et légèrement floral ainsi qu avec un léger goût de levures fruitées (zest dagrumes).

App.: Slightly hazy light straw with a decent loose froth. Aroma: Light fruitiness, a certain green herbal note, green apples, some organic acids, light yeast. Palate: Medium-light body, moderate carbonation. Flav.: Green apples, light green bitter herbs, a bit Saison-ish, a bit of yeast, light tart fruitiness; dry with a touch of bitterness.

I think this is starting an infection. Certainly doesn’t hold up to their usual offerings but not the worst light beer in the world.

341mL bottle, no date from Boutip, thanks Phil. Wow--quite the gusher. Pale yellow urine with as big of a head as you can get, frothy and very effervescent. Aroma of burnt bitter plastic and light floral hops. Flavor adds a bit of herbal and cereal grain notes, and thankfully, loses a fair amount of the burnt plastic notes. There is a hint of honey and lemon tang. Bitterness peaked around a 2 in the earthy semi-dry finish. High carbonation with a light body. Actually turned out better than I thought it would, but still not a so great.

Bottle courtesy of boutip. Pours a hazy yellow with a big white head. Smells of perfume, hay, citrus, soap, dry malt. Tastes light and citrussy. Refreshing and well-balanced.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color lager with a nice foamy head with low retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma consists of light floral malt with some very subtle hops. Taste is also quite light but not as bland as the style would suggest with some medium-sweet malt with some light floral notes and some very subtle dry hops. Well done and easily quaffable for a style that is not known to produce masterpiece.

Verre de dégustation, provenant d’un fût, dégusté au festival Bières et Saveurs 2008 (Chambly, QC). Arôme: Légère odeur de céréales. Apparence: La couleur est blonde pâle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de céréales et d’houblons. Courte durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps et la texture sont mince. Faible effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement fruité. (Rating #1926)
