Golden body with some light haziness and a thin white bubbly head. Exhales a nice yeasty aroma with strong and easily detectable citrusy, banana, spicy and hoppy notes. Taste is fairly balanced, but is a bit weaker than the aroma is. It ends with a decent bittersweet finish that leaves a good citrusy aftertaste. Pretty fair...

341ml brown bottle. Intense lemon yellow. Head is dense, soft and creamy. Slight haze to it. Zesty acidy lemon scent, bubblegum notes. Banana flavours, some lemon an yeast as well. Creamy texture, soft carbonation. Bit of a citrus zing to the finish.

(Bottle) Purchased at Depanneur Peluso, Montreal. Pours a thin, white, frothy head with a clear golden body. Nose of Labatt 50 in a plastic cup at an Expos ballgame. Flavour is slightly tart and wheaty but overall a sad representation of the style. Back to the drawing board?

Sample at the Mondial. Light blonde, with no head and little visible carbonation...sour banana, a bit of vanilla in the aromatic nose which turns rather sweeter as time flies...sour, dry and somewhat thin with litlte fruity esteriness in the body...so little to say, it’s got a bit more body and flavor than tonic water but is just very, very dull.

Bright yellow color, shy foamy white head, wheat, fruity of apple, hint of banana aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with fruity note of apple, spicy cinnamon, wheat, good acidity in a soft hop character finish.

Bananas, cream and bubblegum in lightly metallic aroma. Clear yellow-gold with large bubbles of carbonation presenting a shy ring of white head. Lightly tart, unripe banana flavour with some pleasant wheat character. Light body with strong carbonation. Texture is a bit sticky. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005.

Draught at Mondial, 6/4/05. Clear, sparkling yellow-gold with a small bit of white foam that recedes to ring, no lacing. Banana and bubblegum in the nose, well-pronounced if somewhat standard and obvious. Flavor is lightly metallic, with fruity yeast, light bananas, dry on the end, with some notes of granular white sugar as well. Sour wheat in the body, more fruits; peaches, pears, apricots. Dry and quite attenuated, but not thin. Pale malt-like graininess, some honey notes as well. Wheat-like even mouthfeel, firm carbonation. I thought this was quite good relative to style.

(Rating #182)
