The Festivities: A creamy mouthfeel showcases more cloves than the aroma. Banana sweetness and meek citrus fruit colour the bready suggestions. A good beer without any flaws, but this style can’t score well though on hedonistic levels. A fine beach beer.
Transcendence: A pleasant way to cure a sun burn. Lubiere (4528), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Light bananas ans cloves in aroma, with light lemony points. In mouth, nice crisp malt, light clove notes, and definite lemon in finale. Actually quite pleasant, even if bottle is 6 months old. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Light blonde, with no head and little visible carbonation...sour banana, a bit of vanilla in the aromatic nose which turns rather sweeter as time flies...sour, dry and somewhat thin with litlte fruity esteriness in the body...so little to say, it’s got a bit more body and flavor than tonic water but is just very, very dull. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Clear yellow-gold with large bubbles of carbonation presenting a shy ring of white head. Lightly tart, unripe banana flavour with some pleasant wheat character. Light body with strong carbonation. Texture is a bit sticky. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005. HogTownHarry (4005), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2006 Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy, my bottle via trade with turg. Poured pale hazy bubbly gold with a good-sized white foamy head. Yeasty and fruity aroma, lemon, banana, sugar and some spice and funky herbal notes - kind of like a belgian wit knock-off. Taste is honey and lemon, with banana, coriander (I guess - bitter spice, anyway) and cloves - a little unblended, but a good patio thirst-quencher. Mouthfeel is watery, lively, sweet and sticky - not bad, another style ticked off, but not really my thing. Thanks for the trade, turg! Sammy (4003), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Drinkable, OK for this style, in fact surprisingly better than expected. Light wheat, banana and lots of malting. Radek Kliber (3945), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 29, 2005 Slightly hazy light pastel yellow sports a small fluffy white head. Yeasty aroma is mildly estery with traces of banana and bubble gum that I may not have picked out as readily were I not aware of the style. Flavour is similar with more yeast and lemon emerging as the banana falling to a lesser role. Touch water, palate is on the thin side. Blander than it could be but not unpleasant.
