Dark brown. Fudgey nose with peanuts. Very smooth, chocolate and coffee. Very pleasant, juicy finish. Has a great character, very quaffable.

Objectively speaking: Elegant, clean and drinkable schwarzbier.
I like: Clean lager character. Eminently drinkable. No exageration on the ashey roasty undertones. Nice appearance with a lingering foam. Veering mostly towards the dry side. Relatively ample body does not hold the drinkability back.
I dislike: Rather timid hoppiness.

Very good dark-beige head over brown-black beer, with some ochre-amber reflections. Black- and milkchocolate, wood, black cardamome peel, bit of coffee, coffeebeans, Pumpernickel. Roasted, nearly ashey coffee flavour, coffeedrab, burnt breadcrust. Underlying sweetness, some unfermented sugars. Near stoutlike acidity. Not very well bodied, though OK for a Schwarz. Objectively speaking, a quite well Schwarzbier, nothing really amiss. The problem is that the last five years saw the coming of a great number of really excellent Schwarzbiere, both in Germany as elsewhere. And exciting, this isn’t as such. Many thanks for bringing this along, I&I

My Bottom Line:
Coffee beans, chocolate and toasted pumpernickel bread grace this well-rounded and affable Schwarzbier, offering calculated nourishment and merriment to the black lager lover.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Generous foam recedes to a veil atop the mahogany-tinged darkness.
-The expansive yet soft carbonation teams up with the well-extracted maltiness for a comfortable mouthfeel.
-There could be a tad more hoppiness (and less dextrins) in the finish to make it closer to the style guidelines, but it works perfectly as is.
-Caramel sweetness joins in the fun after a couple of sips.
-This is quite poundable, despite the slightly rounder-than-usual body.

Bottle.

Bottle (341ml). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Deep deep ruby pour, average frothy tan head. Initially vegetal aroma, roasty, herbal, a little sour. The taste is fine - light roast, a bit of coffee, dryly herbal. Light body, slick, moderate carbonation, medium length bitter finish. Didn’t like the aroma too much, but pretty decent in the final analysis.

My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of Viper666. Pours dark brown with red hues and an average size diminishing creamy tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, chocolate and a hint of smoke. Nice flavour of roasted malt along with a hint of smoke, coffee and some nuts. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good beer.

Bottle. Minimal head. Dark brown. Light roasted malt aroma. Some chocolate. Roasty flavour. Dark almost smokey quality. Dark chocolate and cofee. Good beer for an intro-pack.

My friend Jay you are a helluva trader, thanks for this!!! Very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and some roasted malt. Flavor is really good. Chocolate, malt, coffee and seems like there is a slight hint of smoke. Nice stuff.
