Commercial Description:
As at each year at the end of the summer, we offer to you Oktoberfest in homage to the famous festivities which take place each year in Munich. This year we have a reason to be more than delighted because we have in Quebec our first Québécois Oktoberfest of importance, the Festival Beer & Découvertes, which will take place the 8, 9 & September 10, 2006 at the Park l’Étang-du-Grand-Côteau in Mascouche. For the occasion we created a new more festive Oktoberfest which will be the official beer of the event.

Deep copper in colour, large off-white head, great retention, lots of lacing. The aroma is of biscuits, cookies, pale malts, light fruits, some sweetness. The flavour is very enjoyable, lots of biscuits, earthy, woody, good malt backbone, some light chocolate sweetness. Mildly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes creamy, mildly bitter, long. This is a fantastic beer, this brewery is starting to get quite good.

Bottle courtesy of HogTownHarry. Dark mahogany with a good sized tan head. Aroma of lightly toasted malt, raisins, brown sugar and a bit of chocolate, with faint herbal notes. Medium body. Good flavour, quite complex - malt, toffee, nuts, fruit and spice. A very pleasant surprise, and honestly one of the best Oktoberfests I’ve tried.

Bouteille.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark brown color lager with a nice light brown head with average retention. Aroma of sweet caramel malt is pretty interesting and more beefed-up then the style would usually suggest. Taste of sweet caramel malt is quite dominating with some subtle bitter hops at the end. Some traces of buts and banana could be felt but were quite subtle. Interesting and better then anything else I have tried form this brewery.

Bottle courtesy of Viper666. Pours a lovely clear dark ruby-brown with lots of bubbles and a large fluffy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, some chocolate, dark fruit, herbal hops and alcohol -- quite nice! Flavour’s sweet and malty with some nuts, fruit, spices and alcohol and a roasty bitter finish. Medium bodied. I’m not a big fan of this style and I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying this beer, it’s very good! Well done Les Trois Mousquetaires!

Some light vegetal notes undermine bready, caramel and toasted malts in the aroma. Clear amber-copper coloured body is topped by a low but lasting tan head that leaves some lace. Toasted malts are more prevalent than Munich malt and aftertatste is vegetal and lingering. Medium-light body with pleasant, soft bubbled carbonation. Bottle.

341 mL bottle from Lubiere. App.: very red with brown hues, a reddish-tan head. Aroma: Roasted malt, a good helping of resinous hops, caramel and toffee sweetness and a bit of dried fruit. Palate: fairly full carbonation and a reasonably full body. Flav.: roasted malts, a decent amount of hops as well. Some fruitiness. Sweet up front, bitter in back, with just a hint of alcohol. Could I drink several "Maβ" in a tent in München? No, but I could enjoy another bottle in my apartment in Ottawa.
