Snoro (183), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 9, 2007 Bière de belle apparence, mais avec un goût acre beaucoup trop prononcé à mon goût et un arrière-goût autant prononcé. Glouglouburp (1934), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 30, 2006 almost clear dark-copper body with a little off-white head. Roasted malt, crunchy cookies, caramel/butterscotch. Very short finish. Not offensive at all but not much to praise either. The last time I had this was during my pre-ratebeer time. With the coming out of the new 2006 version I wanted to do little taste test so I hunt down the old version. I managed to find an old 2005 bottle on a dusty shelve between a “George W. Bush: 4 More Years” banner and an “Ashlee Simpson: I Am Me” album. radiomgb (1744), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 7, 2006 Bottle from the <a

Deep ruby in colour, slowly dissipating off-white head, some lace. The aroma is of rich caramel malts, biscuts and some butterscotch. The flavour is malty (cookies, biscuts), some grains and a bit buttery. Mildly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes slightly sweet, lingering. HogTownHarry (3185), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Mar 25, 2006 Bottle (341ml). Via trade with Iguenard. Poured slightly hazy amber with a decent foamy diminishing head.Aroma of light roast malt, sweet grain - okay, mostly malt, not vegetal. Taste is quite metallic - lightly malty, corny grain, harsh quick finish - extremely watery mouthfeel, dry, not much carbonation - just fair, seriously lacks body. unibrouefan (121), Val-Des-Monts, Quebec, Canada Feb 14, 2006 Strong wheat aroma, really spicy taste and palate. Malt flavor. First oktoberfest beer, and not the last one.
