Bottle 750 ml. 2008 edition. Amber color, medium white head. Really malty and hoppy aroma. Taste is mainly composed of dark fruits, caramel and roasted malt. Medium bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle, 750 ml. 2008. Clear dark red body with thick tan head. Strong hop aroma, malt and caramel. Lack of complexities Good bitterness.

Bouteille brune de 750 ml, brassin 2008. Arômes maltés et de fruits rouges, présence d’un houblon herbal. Robe rousse foncée, peu de mousse. Belle rondeur en bouche, avec un goût de caramel et de fruits rouges, avec une légère touche d’alcool. Belle amertume de houblon herbal. Très belle interprétation.

Bouteille 750ml (2007). De couleur ambrée foncée et voilée. Nez malté de caramel doux et légèrement rôti, léger de céréales, de pain de houblon floral et herbeux avec des notes de noix et de fruits (agrumes). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen (un peu croustillant) et une texture moyennement crémeuse. Léger goût fruité (agrumes, traces de fraises) avec un moyen goût de noix asséchantes ainsi que de faibles notes salées lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel très doux et moyennement rôti (faibles notes terreuses) ainsi qu’un moyen goût de pain, des notes de céréales fraîches et de biscuits. Parallèlement, l’on retrouve un goût moyennement amer de houblon herbeux (herbes mouillées), asséchant et aux notes florales jusqu’en finale où vient également se rajouter un moyen goût de noix ainsi que de des notes d’épices (poivre) et de faibles traces d’alcool boisé. Post-goût moyen et sec, moyennement amer de houblon herbeux avec un léger goût de rôti et de noix ainsi que des notes fruitées (zest d’agrumes).

Candied malt and treacle aroma, copper, pours a large firm toffee head, some lace. Soft taste of roasted malt, hops, woody, nutty notes too. Light bodied, balanced, bitter, dry finish. Good.

750ml bottle via in person trade with Glougoburp. Not my favorite style but we’ll see how they do. Shared with my gf Cyn. Pours orangish amber with a foamy tan head. Nose is really nice, sweet and malty. Taste is sweet, oddly bitter and herbal and kind of tastey. Still not quite my favorite style, but this is a decent beer.

350ml corked bottle Decanted a deep reddish-brown hazey ale into the stein. Wonderful billowy 3 finger sticky cap that lasts and laces Aroma: Wunderbar! Almonds, bread, woody earthyness, a light musty-sweetness. Profile: Toasty, nutty, rich thick malts..full bodied and a rich mouth feel...like liquid toasted walnut bread smeard with a leafy herbal-woody marzipan...totally non cloying...finishes with the ample noble hops drying the flavor out with a sharp wet birch wood bark tone as the dark malts leave a light pucker...bready herbal after taste. Rich, deeply flavorful, satisfying and outrageously drinkable...perhaps that is the secret of this "Sticke" Probably this brewer’s best effort ..an Alt to die for...hope it’s available again...I’ll buy cases next time.

[615-20070914] 750mL (w/ blankboy, jerc, tupalev). Mild malt and a bit toasty, aroma has a light fruit background. Clear, dark red brown body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Mild roasted malt flavour is of light Belgian style and a little boozy. Medium-full body. Mild taste but thick alcohol.
