Pours a nice amber/orange with a nice off white head. The aroma is very earthy and grassy, with a hint of citrus. The flavor is reminiscent of root vegetables. Some citrus, but it needs a brightness to off set the earthiness. I would pass on this beer if offered again. But any way thanks for the beer Mike! presario (2987), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Creamy froth. Thin woody nose. Soft Brittish style. Relatively hoppy. Nice aftertaste. A nice regular rotation beer but not in the extra special extra charge category. cfrancis (336), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Taste is well balanced with good hop bitterness and caramel and malt. Amber brown in colour. I really enjoyed this beer. I’ll definitely pick it up at the dep again. bedainedebiere (288), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada

No, not awful at all to me. High quality rendition of this style I really like, with a beautiful copper color and an enjoyable intense leafy and slightly citrusy hopping. Sweet and fruity notes. Somehow oily mouthfeel (abundance of hop result?) and a long great aftertaste. I like this a lot but it is a little expensive but, again, why pay less in life?... Good job again, you Mousquetaires! | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Bottle. Pretty awful APA, I really disliked the earthy, dry hoppy aroma and taste. It was silty and dirty in the mouth and really lacked the refreshing aspect this beer style usually brings. Vertical Bacon Strips (892), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Good pour, super fresh, ample solid off white cap, slippery ropy lacing, crystal clear deep amber beer. Good floral bouquet, lots of deep citrus aroma, orange, sweet ruby red grapefruit, cherry, good blended malt (what malts, I’m not sure), aromatic and quite potent.
Interesting sourness, seems to be linked strongly with the fresh unsweetened grapefruit. Lacks flavour, overall disappointing after the impressive aroma. Weak candy, dulling hops, pine.
Drying, slightly tart, good soft carbonation, long dry mild bitter finish. Diogène (563), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Aroma is citrusy hops, caramel and roasted malt. Flavor is also mostly citrusy hops, caramel, roasted malt, and a hint of pine. A well done and very drinkable APA. Nothing special though.
