Palidor19 (1245), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 8, 2008 This gives off a slight smokey, malty flavor also has a good nutty taste. Has some mild hops, this beer would work with BBQ and nice cheese.
Borresteijn (441), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 11, 2008 33cl bottle @ home. Dark amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, malts, carbonation. Flavour is sweet, brown sugar, dark fruits. Tastes watery. Very one-dimensional bock. fonefan (4328), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 11, 2008 Bottle 33cl @ home. Clear dark amber color with a huge, frothy, good lancing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, fruity - berry sour - acidic, sugar, moderate to light heavy yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (280508) Crit (2234), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Aug 10, 2008 Brown, small lasting beige head.Nose of malt and dark fruits, more of same in flavor.Well masked alcohol which improves the beer, I hate the harsh alcoholic heat most of this style have mgumby10 (1624), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 7, 2008 Pours a very nice dark caramel orange, with a small off white head. Smells really fruity, with a little alcohol heat, and syrupy malts. The flavor had some big carbonation coming on. Quite effervescent as it went down. Im not a huge fan of these hugely carbonation Belgians most of the time though. It really takes away from the flavor cause all Im getting is bubbles. From what I got, was mostly just the candy sugar and malts anyway, pretty standard really. Tone down the carbs as they say. m4rest88 (44), Beverly Hills, California, USA Aug 2, 2008 Came in a large bottle dark brown with a hint of orangey red in the hue of the beer. Pours with a creamy, off white thin head. Chocolate/Caramel Malt with some fruit in the aroma. The beer is sweet from start to finish and tastes with creamy feel on the palate. An all around great beer!
