Yellow and hazy with a head that was clumpy, appropriate appearance for a wheat. Good flavor, light bodied. Mouthfeel was thin but appropriate.

Draught pint at the brewpub on 8/18/06.
Brass-copper colored body has a strong bright beige glint to it, despite the low clarity. White head is initially quite large and fades slowly to cover, with sporadic lacing.
Heavy wheat in the nose, with a fruity yeast describing an elevated fermentation. Strawberries and light apples combine with a more dry straw/mineral character to produce a stiff, assertive wheat aroma for this usually HIGHLY unassertive style. It’s not overly strong, mind you, but what’s there is well-stated. A bit of nutty-butteriness and blandness, from the wheat, detracts, but there is enough semi-crisp hoppiness to hold it at bay.
Wheat and grainy barley are fairly well balanced in the flavor. There isn’t much flavor, of course, but some minimal esters, bits of pale sugars and touches of nutty wheat provide something to think about while it goes down. And down it goes, quite easily. Some discernable hops, English and herbal/grassy with low bitterness. These guys need to try some American or hybrid hops and see if they can get a little more crispness from their beers. Lively texture, somewhat watery, nothing out of style. No alcohol apparent.

One of the better ones I tried. Looks great - nice thick white head with murky yellow body. Sweet yeasty smell. Tastes sweet... vanilla? fruit? light body. Very good, definitely one of the better summer ales I’ve had.

On tap at the brewpub 6/16/06. Pours a light hazy gold color. Aroma is sweet malt and wheaty. Flavor is mostly a light wheat beer with mostly malt dominated sweetness in the beginning with a small hop kick at the end. This beer is crisp similar to the bug lager they serve here, but marginally better.
