Poured amber with a small thin head. Smells of piney hops. Nice hop attitude, but like the Ale i had here it’s got those same semi-dingy tasting hops. They added them much better in this brew though. Very dry with a piney hop aftertaste. Good, not great....especially compared to the IPAs I’ve had. 7/16/06 re-taste. I missed some key citrus notes the first time. Doesn’t really change my feelings about the beer, just worthy of noting.

(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub in Hollowell, ME. Pours a thin, white, foamy head with an amber body. Nose of mild hops - something like Hart Amber Ale? Seems to be in an English style? Little Grapefruit and West Coast influence. Flavour is equally un-enlightening - which matches the thin body. Yawn! Boring...

Another bad IPA. Plus I had a bunch of other bad beers here and the service sucked so Im not even gonna bother putting up the other brews like bug lager etc. Waste of my time.

This is a good attempt, the east is afraid of hops. There I’ve said it. This needs a little tweeking to get the beer right. Geoff has a chance to make a difference in the perception of Maine drinkers, I hope he keeps moving up the bar.
