I am not much into IPA’s but this one is very good and definitely on my list to have again if I am in the area. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 28, 2005 On nitro at the brewpub. Mellow hop aroma. Mostly piney cascade hops aftertaste, but its balanced by some malt character, and offset by the nitro pour. Nice DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2005 (Draft: Liberator Brewing in Troutdale, OR) Much more malty and balanced than their Naked Kernel IPA, the toasty maltiness is a much more substantial base. The hops is citrusy and moderately bitter, and the bitterness is strongest in the finish. The nose is a bit on the stinky, vegetable side, with a stronger graininess and moderate hop aroma. Medium bodied, clean and crisp on the palate from start to finish. Golden color, darker than the Naked Kernel IPA, but again, the off-white head quickly fades to a small ring, leaving bits of patchy lacing on the glass. Decent, but no better than average for an IPA. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2005 Tap at brewery. Hazy amber-orange colored. Decent white head leaves great lacing. Aroma is a little earthy and a tad musty? Medium bodied. Pleasantly bitter which lasts quite a while. Balance is there. Fair to good. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA

Fruity nose with some orange and grapefruit. Bitter though not too much. Some floral hints. Fruity and bitter hop flavors with some caramel malts. Chalky palate and a bitter finish. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Scotchy butter nose, wood and starch like palate. Strong butter everywhere with some spicy garlic bread. This is an IPA? Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Foggy amber with a thinnish head. Mild carbonation; thick malts. Funky nose. Malts were chewy-sweet (bread dough), earthy, woody, and wholesome. Hops were a little spicy, very piney, and somewhat flowery ... quite aromatic overall. Citric bitterness (mainly grapefruit) in the aftertaste. Pretty tasty IPA with a very malty backbone. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
