Jul 18, 2005 This beer is different from the normal IPA they usually carry. It was available mid July 2005 at the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark orange color with a small amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is slighty floral and citrusy with some sweet fruit aromas as well. Flavor is citrusy and slightly hoppy, but also a bit watery and uncomplex. Overall, this was my second favorite liberty brew.

Jul 8, 2006 This Liberty product was worth buying to fill a growler. Clyde’s Pale Ale was enjoyed with dinner. The hops and malt were well balanced and the citrus flavors were very evident. The amber color had a nice head. The growler also held the carbonisation well in the bottle. This is steady pale ale that could be enjoyed anywhere.

Jun 25, 2009 On Tap at Liberty Taproom and Grill in SC - pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Nose of citrus, hops, malt and caramel. Taste is orange, lemon, spice along with the expected hops and malt. Decent pale ale. Not the greatest one I have ever had but certainly not the worst. I would drink it again if I ever get back to this restaurant.

Apr 29, 2009 Pint at the brewery. Very little hop aroma. Malty slightly grainy aroma. Cloudy orange amber with small white head. Assertive hops in flavor with a caramel maltiness. Finish was dry and lightly bitter. I found it a fairly well balanced lightly hoppy pale ale.

Apr 17, 2006 Brought back in a growler from my in-laws trip, growler was approx. 3 weeks old when sampled. Dark yellow, small white head. Lightly hopped aroma, some sweetness as well. Refreshing light hop taste; organic like. Interesting sweetness. Not terribly tasty, but refreshing with some flavour. Probably not in prime condition either.

Jan 19, 2009 Sampler @ Liberty: Pours a deep golden color. Tastes watered down with a faint floral hop in the finish. Wholly unimpressive; this is the kind of beer you cook with.

Aug 27, 2006 Finally something with flavor! Deep amber, thin white head. Nose had soft tones of citrus, grapefruit zest, and lightly sweetened malt. Decent bitterness up front with a light caramel malt background. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry, bitter finish. The best of the bunch here, but it’s not sayin much...

Feb 24, 2007 All those vacations to Myrtle Beach (01,02,03,04) having those beer Sampler trays at the Liberty, I never saw the Liberty beers on Ratebeer. I’ll throw a few out there from Memory. Good drinking times at Broadway at the Beach. Their Pale Ale was a decent beer with a light Amber color, some sweet malts and a little hops bite at the end. Good Beer
