Thick lacing. Burnt malt and coffee nose. Body is just short of water. Coffee flavors prevade, some sweet maltiness below. Baking chocolate notes. Medium bitter finish. I’m torn - good flavor, but a poor body. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Roasty & chocolatey up front and slightly nutty aromas up front and throughout. Also a bit burnt malt aroma. No fruitiness, no hops. Well balanced & roasty up front; slightly tasteful. Roasty w/a neutral malt flavored finish throughout. Finish is semi dry and has a roasty coffee aftertaste. Lighter body, smooth m/f w/ a low carbonation. Not a very impressive STOUT, but might make a very tasty brown porter minus some of the burnt characteristics.
