Aroma is of sweet malts, caramel and a little earthy nut notes. Light on the palate and served way too cold, other people were probably looking at me strange as I sat at the bar wrapping my hands around the glass to warm the beer. Notes of caramel, slight roast, little bit of earthy nutty notes. shp555 (1776), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Sampler @ Liberty: I’d say this is the most drinkable of the sampler pack next to the porter. Pours a deep amber color and at first, I could not tell the difference between the Pale Ale and the Nut Brown and neither could anyone else. A couple sips in, I started to get some nice lightly toasted malts coming through in the flavor. Not a standout but this did pair well with the pretzels they serve there.
