Commercial Description:
This exciting brew combines the mild, tart flavors of a wheat beer with the essence of real raspberries. The raspberry flavor is not overpowering. It has a wonderful berry aroma, and is a favorite even among those who claim to "not like beer".

Brought back in a growler from my In-Laws trip a couple of weeks ago. Beer was approx three weeks old when I tried it (from an un-opened growler). Cloudy dark yellow with a small white head. Nice raspberry aroma; it was slightly artificial but still pleasant. Mouthfeel was slightly syrupy and a little more full-bodied than it looked. Taste was not bad; slightly crisp American Wheat like taste mixed with a good dose of raspberry that tasted a little more artificial as it sat there in the glass. Very short finish. Overall, good brew pub effort; I’d have it again but wouldn’t make an effort to get it.

Hazy straw with pinkish tones, thin white head. Nose had very weak notes of raspberry, wheat, and citrus. Flavor was light tangy wheat and raspberry, with just a faint hint of hops in the background. Light bodied, soft carbonation, light fruity finish. I suppose if you were very hot and need to chug something that was a notch up from water....

Draught. Why do I do this to myself? Pours a cloudy straw color, thankfully not pink, with good head retention. The aroma is of crackers, grains, light raspberry. Taking a sip reveals much of the same with a "dirty" finish. Thankfully, the raspberry is not overdone. That said, this is still not a favorite of mine. It’s a combination of an American wheat and raspberry which, in my book, is tantamount to a combination of a root canal on Tax Day.

Yea, I could really smell them raspberries. The light raspberry flavor was good too. I liked it.

On tap at Liberty... brewed under the alias of "Very Jerry Wheat". Pours reddish-amber and clear, with a diminished head and the slightest ring lace of suds follows the brew down the glass. There are some fruit notes (nondescript, but we’ll say raspberry), and nothing to write home about. As the beer warms, wheat does come through more prominently, though. Tart citrus accompanies light wheat notes, with an unfortunate plastic finish. This seems to be the result of hopping. The mouthfeel is clean and crisp, cutting heavy meal flavors on the palate. By itself, however, it’s not a standalone standout.
