Commercial Description:
This is a full-bodied and malty red ale. A blend of Pacific Northwest hops and three different caramel malts combine to give this beer its unique character. The bitterness is low, making it surprisingly drinkable.

Nice dark red ale, trying to try all the Liberty beers, one of the best ales that I have had

Draught at the brewpub (High Point, NC location). Clear amber color with thin off white head. Thin and watery without much aroma or flavor. Very uninspiring,

the liberty beer leaves little to the imagination. your typical fly by night brewpubers with nothing better to do but make average to poor beer. this was thin and lightly bodied on the palate. subtle malt flavors . eh?

Pours a nice deep ruby amber color with a small, quickly dissapating amount of whitish head. Aroma is malty and slightly dark fruity. Flavor is rather mild, a bit malty, a bit cheryish, but no dominant flavor. Overall, I found it to be a decent brew.

Hazy copper/ruby pour with aroma of caramel malt, some cabernet, some cherries. Tastes fruity, with a red wine presence backed up with hopcit and caramel malt.

Draft @ the brew pub: Hazy reddish copper w/’ a thin white head; laces well. Highly grassy, herbal hop nose on first sniff, low on maltiness as well as roastiness. Very light hints of fruitiness and caramel malt, but only as it warms. Flavor is lightly malty w/ a stronger hop flavor than in the aroma; some light tartness from carbonation. Finish is lightly malty w/a hop aftertaste; No roast and very little caramel. Drier m/f w/ moderate carb., lighter medium body. Not as smooth & rich flavored as I’d hoped it would be. Seems more of an APA than a red ale. Still missing caramel character in either case, but it still beats drinking macro swill.
