#900 - Hazed pale yellow, thin white head. Very soft nose of orange zest and corriander. Flavor was in the same range and decently balanced. Thin bodied and watery, bland, spiced finish. WTF....

On vacation in NC we visited the Liberty Steakhouse in Myrtle Beach. Liberty has a wide variety of beers. The white ale was only tasted. The light gold color had a modest head. Wheat beers have never been my favorite. This one was like Blue Moon but better. It had more body and fullness not exp[erienced in Blue Moon.

Had this last year. Hazy gold pour with aroma of big citrus, coriander, cloves. Tastes citrusy, with some hops and cloves at the finish. Medium palate.

Draft @ the brew pub: Small, thin white head on a hazy golden body. Again, I blame lack of head on the glass. Starts w/ a sort of odd milky, lactic aroma with some wheat malt, very little orange or coriander present. Flavor starts with orange and wheat malt, well balanced w/ a lightly tart, dry finish. Aftertaste is of old stale beer for some reason; Very little Belgian character. Also has a metallic/mineral flavor in the aftertaste as it warms. Prickly, biting carbonation, but it’s got a medium carbonation and medium body. Seems to me like the Unfiltered Wheat, but with a little coriander thown in, and falls way short of a typical Belg. Wit. Incidentally, the brewer @ Liberty also brews for New South, which kegs and distributes it’s beers locally in MB. I had probably this "same" beer under the New South Label @ California Pizza a few days before and the aroma and flavor was much better, I can’t figure out why.
