Bottle wrapper says ’Leifman’s Kriekbier, biere aux cerises, 6% alc./vol’. I tried this beer on November 25, 2007 after purchasing from my lcal LCBO outlet. The beer was a beautiful ruby red in colour with a medium sized tan couloured head. The aroma was sour cherries and not much else. The mouthfeel was sour, full-bodied, slightly creamy and champagny. The flavout was powerfully sour cherries, and a huge bite on the back of the tongue.

Nice, mild balsamic aroma with fruit and sugar. Flavor is mildly sour and fruity, clear cherry flavor. Not as sour as some of the style, but sour nonetheless. Nice tall head, well carbonated. Moderate yeast.

Delicious! Poured a dark red with a white head. Strong aroma of canned cherry. Nice tart cherry flavor. Great.

Bottle: Poured a ruby red with a thin white head. The aroma is a sourness with a cherry pit like. The taste is tart with cheeries but also nice acidic/carbonated sense to it.

Poured from a bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy rose color with a decent reddish head. Aroma of sour cherries, some oak, and funk. Immediate tart cherry flavor smooths out in the middle and gives way to a slightly tart, oaky finish. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel.

Picked up a 12.7 oz bottle at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN and sampled while making beer bread with this brew. Pours a hazy rusty red brew with a fizzy pink head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma of tart cherries, Belgian yeast funk, and sour berries. Taste is medium bodied, well-carbonated with plenty of tart cherries, tart berries and some yeast. Finish is just as tart as its flavor with a fizzy yeast and cherry aftertaste. Nice!

On tap. Nice reddish hue with a good pinkish hued beige head. Smell of tart cherries, a touch of belgiany yeastiness, and a slight hint of sour vinegar, but all very nicely. Taste is sweet, cherry, and moderately and nicely tart with a touch of a slight funky belgian character. Somewhat bubbly and crisp, but not overly fizzy and foamy. I really enjoyed this beer.

375 ml bottle - pours an opaque reddish brown with a rapidly diminishing pinkish head. Sour cherry aroma along with some yeast. Flavour quite nice with lots of sour fruit and a very dry finish. Excellent beer.
