Hugely cherry aroma. Fairly lively palate, not harsh. Gloriously tasty - so easy to drink. Hugely cherry taste. Pure natural fruit - beautiful fruit beer. Crisp and cleansing on the palate.

Oct 6, 2007 Poured from a 375 ml bottle from 2005. Mild vinegar nose. Pours a pleasing reddish brown with almost no head. Plenty of cherry flavor that is well balanced by a mild sourness. Finishes clean. Tasty flemish sour, I’ll drink it again.

Oct 3, 2007 Updated: Oct 17, 2007375mL bottle. Pours a dark red/brown with a large rapidly dissipating head. Strong cherry aroma. Flavour is strong sweet cherry fading into a smooth sourness. Very tasty and refreshing.

Oct 3, 2007 Poured dark amber/brown, dissolving head, carbonation died out quickly. Aroma thick with sour cherries, which was good. Hits the mouth with a medium body, sour cherry taste and finish. I surprised myself with this one- thought it was a lambic when I purchased it, but I liked it even though it wasn’t!

Sep 24, 2007 Ruby pour with hissing pink suds. Nose dominated by full fruit juiciness, but with plenty of musty oak and authentic Flemish tartness to back it up. Tangy, fleshy and sweet-sour, finishing with a biscuity malt aftertaste. The tastiest and most balanced Kriek I’ve sampled to date. A beautifully refreshing beer.

Sep 19, 2007 Arrrrgh! Beautiful nose: Sour and sweet cherries. Pours an attractive pink/brown. On the palate there’s loads of beautiful sweet then tart cherries. An earthy tea-like dryness begins to assert itself as the beer warms. Medium bodied and it gets a tad watery towards the finish, but a beautiful beer nonetheless.

Sep 17, 2007 750 ml corked bottle. Pours a cloudy garnet with a thin off-white head that has a slightly pink tint that lasted through mid-glass. Lovely aroma of both sweet and sour cherries. The flavor is again both sweet and sour cherries with a bit of an earthy backbone to it, which is very nice. Not overly sour, which I also like very much. The light effervescence accentuates the cherry flavor on the palate without it being at all syrupy or cloying. Although I have had problems with other beers in this style, I thoroughly enjoyed this one very much.
