Pours a blood red with a delicious aroma of cherries and a mild tartness. The flavor is soft in the beginning, building up momentum to a bubbly and light sour cherry flavor, followed by an assertive sour aftertaste which can take you by surprise. Excellent, though a bit pricey

2006 bottle, pours deep red with a thin and bubbly light pink head. Aroma is nothing but full on cherries almost as if I cut into the actual fruit and took a big sniff. A tart smell is also present. Taste is very nice and echos the smell. Tart and tangy, this one has full flavor of nice tart cherries with a sour punch there in at the end. This really is an excellent fruit beer. I really like this one, I just wish it wasn’t 6 bucks a bottle.

In my humble opinion, this is the best beer I have ever tasted. The color, the texture, the taste that explodes in your mouth. Picture a cherry pie meeting the best texture and aroma in a beer that you have ever had. I have seen this sold in 6 oz. glasses for $6 each at a few bars here in Houston. My favorite beer.

375 ml bottle @ Kristiansand Lambic festival. Dark red body with a pink head. Aroma is reasonable matured cherry with certain sweetness. Flavor is balanced sweet, fruity, sour cherry. Not bad to be a kriek in the more sweeter league. Fruity finish.

Tasted 2007-07-23. Fresh bottle, 37,5cl. Colour is a mix of pink and brown. Light head. Aroma and taste of cherries, hubba-bubba gum and acid. Taste is amost explosive! One of my favorite krieks!

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Rich red color with a puffy pink head. Aroma is sweet and loaded with cherries but with a nice and sharp tartness underneath it all. Flavor has a very nice combination of sweetness and cherries mixed with a pleasant sour flavor that ties it together. High quality.

25cl bottle bought in Belgium, 6%. No head to speak of and the colour is rather unfortunate: looks just like rotten cherries. The smell is citric cherry sweet all the way, so you hesitate to sip in case all your teeth fall out.... but relax; the taste makes everything fine: subtle cherry tastes ranging from bitter, unripe cherries to ugly, overripe fat ones (explains the colour) and you keep roaming from cheery salty-sweetness to organic, earthy hues. Yes! I like this beer! 37.5 cl champagne bottle. Didn’t like it as much as the small bottle as it seems to loose a lot of spark.

Tap at Sugaya beer store. What made this beer amazing was the experiance. While browsing Sugaya’s beer selection the owner (whose English is much better than my Japanese) asked me a few questions about my beer preferences, then brought me a pint of this beer! The only way to make buying beer more fun is with a free pint of something good to sip on while doing it. Will remain a favorite beer of mine for the experiance if nothing else. Aroma is tart cherries, and sorta sugary sweet. Flavor is similar to the aroma with the sugar drowning out some of the sour cherry. Finishes slightly sour. Medium body. Goes down easy, pretty good.
