[046-20060916] 375mL. Creamy soapy cherry aroma with wine-bodied characteristics. Ruddy, ruby-brown body with a big, long-lasting, reddish-hued foamy head. Tastes like sour cherries with a hint of boozy, bready yeast. Creamy mouth-feel, very wine-like. Overall, a creamy wine. Good stuff. (7/4/9/4/17) 4.1

[1007B-20071226] 375mL. Tart cherry aroma. Hazy, dark red body with a medium-lasting foamy light pink head. Sweet cherry flavour initially continues with mild grains and a sourtart finish. Medium body has nice sour bubbles. Interesting, great balance. (7/3/8/4/15) 3.7

Bottled. Pitch rubyred and darkmurkish brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is cherries and dark fruits. Flavour is cherry, some alcohol and dry fruits. Also some sourness in it, but the cherry is sweet enough to not make it too sour. Long sweetish aftertaste after a rather dry and sour feeling. Excellently balanced brew. Palate is slightly sticky, but still "a bit watery".

Pours from the bottle to a hazy, lght copper color with off-white head that lingedrs well and reduces to very good lacing on the glass. Excellent aroma of sour dark fruit, mixed with vinegar and cherries. Taste and finish are a perfect Flemish Sour.....sour cherry fruit on the front end, followed by a long sweet palate on the end. This is a damn good beer!!!

2001 Vintage.   Sticky legs to a bronze body with a minimal white head. Subdued fruit aroma with more of a lambic yeatsiness protruding. Cherry pit is prominent. Thinnish flavor despite a thickish body with a sour cherry persona and mild acidity in the stomach.

2005 Vintage.   This reveals as much sweeter with a stronger cherry flavor as well as stronger carbonation to add a fluffy contrast to the sticky body.

Cloudy dark amber color with red hue; small creamy head. Light cherry aroma, mature. Good body, some malt and sweetness, with a good fruity level. A touch of acidity. Balanced.

Drink this last sunday at Wannegem. Red body, white head, looks like a dark red strawberry. The aroma is a slight barnyard, cherries and currents. The flavor is a bitter/sour taste with a finish of sweet cherries. Different but good.
