Aroma and flavor of cherry syrup and sweet tarts. Some pleasing acidity but not much wildness or depth. A simple, tasty, easy-drinking and enjoyable soda pop beer. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Dark reddish colour, small beige head. Aroma of cherry, sugar, wood. Sour flavor, only light sweetness. Sour warming finish. Quite unidimensional. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2006 Bottle (375ml). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, courtesy of blankboy. Poured deep murky ruby with a large foamy pink head. Aroma of sweet cherry pie and tart cider - nice and funky, promises to be quite sour. Taste ... yes, it’s nice, but I was disappointed it didn’t have more funkiness to it - tasted just like a fresh cherry pie made with sweet and sour cherries. Mouthfeel was syrupy, fizzy and acidic. This was actually sweeter than I’d prefer, but still really tasty, fresh real cherry flavour. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 7, 2006 I think this is the one, I simply wrote down "Liefmans Cherry Beer" from the bottle I shared with blankboy and hogtown harry last night (it came with a paper wrapping as well). Dark red, small red/white head. Funky fruity aroma. Wonderful cherry taste - exactly like a baked cherry pie (you could actually taste the pie shell). Well balanced, never cloying, dry pie-like finish. Very easy to drink. What a surprise, one of the best fruit beers I have ever had. Thanks blankboy! dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Brought home from Quebec. A hazy apricot red colour with a nice foamy head. Not nearly as sour or tart or cherry as one might expect from Liefmans. As a matter of fact, it’s somewhat unbeer like as well. Very smooth and utterly delicious! Sobchak (131), Skagen, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 11, 2005 A dark red to the brown body. THe head is slightly pink, foamy and quick to dissappear. A slight cherry sent to beer. The taste is not sweet. The cheery flavor is very present but it is sour. I was expecting a cough syrup taste...Not at all. The nose is thin, with the burst of cherry flabor, the finish is not quick but there are several other fruit flavors present, maybe raspberries. Very good.
