(Bottle) Pours a reddish brown body with a small pinkish off-white head. Aroma and flavor of cherries. Truly a wonderful Kriek, indeed. My mouth is watering right now for another....

Almost still and organic red, looks like juice but for the thin film of a head. Tart and musty aroma with that beautiful barnyard smell. Super mouth puckering followed by some sour cherry flavor and finishing dry. Disappointing level of complexity that doesn’t match the aroma. Still a pleasant drink.

Bottled. Intense sour cherry aroma. Sour cherry taste with a light sweetness. Overall pretty pleasant. Hard to distinguish from a lambik-kriek for me. Also had some little chunks at the bottom of my glass, but luckily I didn´t feel them in my mouth. Nice. Re-rate: Had two bottles in the last week and have to say that I really under-rated this one. The flavour is delicious. And I underestimated the mouthfeel, which is quite full for such a beer.

On draught at the Publick House, 5/14/2005. Dark burgundy-brown colored beer, with some dark tan tinges on the edges, plenty of beige head, well-retained and lots of lacing. Unfiltered and near opaque. Aroma of tart cherries, quite expressive, with thick toffee maltiness and light chocolate notes. Quite earthy and musty, I like the yeast apparency. Flavor begins moderately sweet, but the tartness quickly makes its way in and prouldy asserts that this is no cheap, fake cherry fruit beer. Good and tart, but more than that, it is also complex and has a wonderful malt backbone. Caramel and toffee provide a full body, with the cherry flavor being as fresh and authentic as any I have come across. A big, sweet rendition, and maybe just a touch too sweet for my tastes overall, but well done, with light tannins, prunes, raisins and toffee and a marvelous body. Low carbonation.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) 1992 vintage at 6,5 % ABV. Dark reddish brown, pinkish head. Sweet and sour, but more the latter and a rather unusual hoppiness. Brewed with whole cherries and not just extract. Loads of sediment - cherry pits...? 040993

Intens deep red color with fluffy pink head. Powerfull cherry aroma’s and hints of Clarks Cherry flavoured chewing-Gum. Attack in the mouth is sweet and sour with a smooth and round mouthfeel. The texture is cherry-tart like (sweet and refreshing). Nice fruitcandy afthertaste.
