Pours a GORGEOUS dark amber/mahogany brown color. Notes of delicious sour/sweet cherry dominate this fruit driven malty backed work of beer-art. Two thumbs up! danielst (162), Vienna, Austria
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2009 This pours a dark brownish red with a white head. The aroma is classically fruity vinous, reminding me of champagne, except for the brettanomyces aromas that add a nice complexity here - barnyard, horseblanket and so on. Dry hay-like taste with an evident sourness and notes of wood and barrels. Light vinegar in the aftertaste. Very interesting, it’s a-nice, I like! Chinqui! Jonte (833), Gothenburg, Sweden

Aroma: cherries, tartness, a bit of sugary sweetness. Taste: Cherries, good balance between sweetness and sourness, light barnyard notes. Very crisp and drinkable. zizzybalubba (405), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2009 375 mL bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Mildly carbonated; pours a muddy red. Sour aroma of cherries and...well, cherries. Excellent cherry flavor to go with the carbonation. The body is thin and this tastes more like a cherry soda. But it is a very good cherry soda if that’s the case. A very good beer that is really somewhere between a kriek and a sour. jumpjet2k (170), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Bottle, "Kriek." Right after I explained that this beer had a cork to some friends, the cork shot up in the air about 15 feet... Good times. Nice darkish-pink color with a small off-white head, very pleasant. Slightly farmy aroma accompanied the clear smell of sweet cherries. The flavor on this one was exceptional - sweet cherries met with a light to medium sourness which, accompanied by a little horsey funk, made this an extremely refreshing, balanced, and drinkable beer. Very happy I got a chance to try it. Even a non-beer-drinker in the group loved this one. asheft (1511), Marburg, Germany

Sweet cherry malt aroma foretelling of dryness. Dark garnet with a lasting, beige-pink foam. Flavour is sweet and sour with cherry, lotus root and malt. A tiny touch of vinegar. Simple and delicious. Light body, moderate carbonation, tingly fruity finish. noompa (130), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2009 750 ml. bottle (2008) in a wine glass; pours a slightly unclear bronze color w/ a surprisingly large head for the style (brownish-red); aroma dominated by sweet cherries, funk, horse blanket; flavor has more cherries, but more sour than the aroma suggest; ends incredibly refreshing. I liked this a fair bit- sweetness done just right, lacks the disgusting bubblegum flavors of a lot of fruit beers and is extremely refreshing.
