(bottle from Fat Cat, Norwich) Poured a dark red with no head. Big tart cherry smell, a little maltines - generally a wild brilliance. Not synthetic at all. Taste is lovely sour cherries with medicinal hints and a little sweetness. Very nice with a strong pronounced flavour that reeks of authenticity. On Zak Avery’s advice I tried some chocolate with it. A flavour combination made in heaven. Delicious.

[Vintage 2005] Bottle... Poured amber with a thin head. Light, fruity aroma. Lots of chewy yeast flavors with a dry palate and smooth finish. Strong, black cherry notes.

Not a dainty looking Kriek, which is how I like them. The boisterous head disappears in seconds. Its cherry aromas are very fresh and syrupy sweet. The smells almost make me feel claustrophobic they are so thick. It’s really fizzy with an immediate sour kick that really gets up your nose. Fades to really good fruit flavours but is a little intensely sweet in the finish for my liking. Very tingly and a little bit gassy.

With many thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Firstly, it comes nicely packaged in a caged green bottle with a red paper wrapper. Red body with no real visible head. Aroma: Cherry, wine, candy, malty with a tinge of vinegar and sourness, Flavour: Quite sour - cherry, salty, like cherry pie with acidic tones. Nice sweet finish.

[Bottle] Pours a deep, cloudy reddish brown, with a medium beige head. Aroma is tart, underripe cherries, nice bretty funk, caramel malts, and some lactic and acetic tartness. Flavor is well balanced, not very tart, not too sweet. Lots of cherry skins, some earthy flavors, and some malt backbone.

(Bottle) The beer pours a clear, deep dark red colour with a small pale pink head. The aroma holds tones of both ripe and tart cherries, cherry candy, cherry stones, light woody funk, mild dirty earth, rose pepper, almonds, vanilla powder and toasted/nutty/caramelly malt. The flavour is light to medium sweet with a balanced, light dry finish. Clear tones of cherries and mild lemon/lime fruits. Light acidic. The mouthfeel is soft carbonated with a light sticky profile. Lemon and sweet cherry tones lingers. Light dusty and woody. Medium bodied.
