(375ml bottle, best by 9/07) Small pink head atop clear, deep pink-red body. Aroma is moderately sweet, strong raspberry, light raspberry astringency. Taste is moderately sweet, raspberry, raspberry soda, light tartness. Light stickiness, light-medium body. Truly, this could pass for a soda, which, depending on your proclivities, could be a good thing. Much better than their peach.

(Bottle, 2005 vintage) Pours a ruby body with a small white head. Strong aroma of raspberries with a bit schnapps-like notes. Flavor of candish raspberry and corn syrup. Sticky mouthfeel.

From the bottle this poured a clear ruby body having a brownish tint to it. The modest pinkish-white head lingers none too long but the sides of the glass get well laced nonetheless. The aroma is a sweet and candy-like raspberry. The flavor tastes more like the fresh fruit, having a slightly tart twang to it. I much preferred the Kriek.

Bottle: Red color, pink head. Nose of dry raspberry powder and vitamin C. The flavor is tart with a sweet fruity dry note. The finish is balanced, but this has no depth of flavor. Just basic sweet fruity character and no complexity. I emphasize tart, not sour.

Bottle. Poured hazy reddish brown with a large froty offf-white head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Heavy sweet raspberry aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Heavy sweet raspberry flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Refreshing beer.

2005 bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, pink, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium to dark reddish-purple. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with strong notes of cherry/raspberry syrup, raspberry seeds. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Sweeter than the peche and tropicale, but a little more tart too...more intensely flavored in general, and thus more fatiguing. Syrupy texture doesn’t help. Not as beery in the nose, closer to soda pop. Hard to enjoy.

375 ml bottle; corked & caged. Aroma of raspberries. Garnet/mahogany color with a decent pink/white head. Flavor starts mildly sweet, with some offsetting bitter like raspberry seed. Quite a bit of floral overtones, and there is mild acidity. Also somewhat perfumey. Certainly superior to most Belgian raspberry fruit beers.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foam with a frothy top off-white colored bubbles that left behind a hazy strong bubbly carbonation brown colored body. The aroma was of bubble gum and fruity. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The mellow flavor contained notes of raspberry. A decent one that I would consider buying again.
