Too sweet, not enough complexity or barnyard. Pleasing, but not exceptional. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

The aroma is a blend of Maraschino and dark red cherries. The firm carbonation keeps the sweetness in check, the flavor being fresh cherries with a light, delayed tartness. I like cherries, so this ale appealed to me.

Flavor is much the same, all cherries all the same. Has a cherry soda pop flavor, hard to tell this is an alcohol drink. Nice carbination, with a dry finish. Fish (439), Kure, Japan
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2008 pink head, cloudy crimson body, subdued bubbles, fruity, slightly alcoholic stickiness, largely sweet (a little tart) aftertaste, yeasty, cherry aroma. definitely better than your average kriek. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2008 From bottle : Pours a dark red color with a half finger of light red head, that last for a couple minutes, then goes down to a foamy ring. Nose of serious cherries, almost candy like. Taste isnt to bad, very cherry, maybe to much so, kinda candy flavored. Thin bodied, and it seems to disappear in your mouth toward the end. The finish is cherry, which i guess that sums up the whole experience of drinking this.....cherry. Little to much though. thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Generally mild and buttery beer. I was expecting something more akin to a lambic, but it was smoother and less harsh on the mouth. Pours a deep red (cheery coke?) with a 2-3cm thin frothy white head. Fruity sweet cherry overtones on the nose, and very buttery mouthfeel. (Bottle Pour 12/31/2007)
