Excellent retention. The aroma and flavor are very reminiscent of black cherry Kool-Aid®. Fortunately, I have always liked black cherry Kool-Aid®. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Sweet, fruity and then moderately tangy finish. Probably underrated due to it not being a traditional Belgian lambic. Tasty, but definitely Americanized. Overpriced as well. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 8, 2007 Pours pinkish red with a mostly maintained fluffy off-white head. Aroma of sweet cherries and mild yeastiness. Taste is sweet, fruity and loaded cherry flavor, ending with mild tartness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit syrupy with lively carbonation. Interesting, but I was hoping it would be more tart. bhensonb (4374), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Bottle. Fantastic aroma of cherries. Great mahogany color with a minimal pinkish-white head. Thin to medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is tart cherry, with a slight chalky undertaste. The finish is fairly dry, and there is some herbal bitter, but the cherry still dominates. Nice drink. jeremytoni (1122), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2007 A pour that is deeeep red cherry with a light pink cherry head. An aroma of tart cherries leads the way. A very tart cheery flavor that has a bit of a bounce back flavor that is a bit odd but not bad at all. The mouthfeel and carbonation are good as well for the style. A beer that I like quite a bit. I wish I could make one like it. nick76 (2688), Tampa, Florida, USA

The appearance is dark red with a foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with a tart finish. The palate is smooth. I like it. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 5, 2007 2005 bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, pink, mostly lasting. Body is hazy dark reddish-purple. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a strong note of cherry syrup. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Probably the best of the Boomgaard bunch...good level of tartness and not as syrupy sweet as the framboise, so more palatable. Still, well, yeah...it’s nothing great but definitely better than the Fruitesse line.
