(375ml bottle, best by Sept.07) Pillowy pink head atop a clear dark pink-red body. Aroma is moderately sweet, strong Maraschino cherry, light cherry sourness. Taste is moderately sweet, cherry, light sourness. Light-medium body, some stickiness. Certainly comparable in sweetness to the other Boomgaards, but it works better in this instance. Still hard to think of it as something other than a soda.

From 375mL Bottle, 2005 Vintage. Pours a deep, transparent, ruby red color with a tall, foamy, well sustaining head of pink. Interesting, funky, sweet, soapy yeast aromas mingle with marachino cherry juice. Almost waxy. Very sweet, lightly attenuated mouthfeel with a healthy effervescence. Very sweet and quite tasty, but also very one-dimensional in this regard. Drinkable as a dessert, but not complex or beer-like, either. Plenty of cherries, a hint of clove. Not bad for a lindeman’s competitor.

Light merlot appearance witha large, pink head and decent lacing. Aroma was all cherry; sweet and one dimensional (as was this beer in general). Taste was sweet as well, almost lile cherry coke. Well carbonated with a slightly sour finish.

Better than the tropicale! More traditional I guess. Blood orange pour. Nice and tart. Still needs some work as it can get a little cloying.

bottled poured a transluscent burgundy with a thin, bright white head that dissapated fairly fast. a cherry, oak aroma comes next with some spices, clove maybe, following up. taste is strong cherry at the start, syrup like, with sweet, tart finish. nice mouthfeel. drinkable...with some salty chips.

375ml bottle 2005. Dark red, almost blood coloured ale, with a large frothy pink head. aroma is very wild /black cherry like. Sweet cherry flavour, syrupy, sour after taste. Mouthfeel is not too cloying. I found this pretty drinkable, a nice change up inhot weather though one 375ml is probably enough for me.

(Bottle, 2005 vintage) Pours a reddish body with a small pinkish head. Aroma of black cherries and sugar. Flavor of candish cherry and corn syrup.
