(375ml bottle, best by 9/07) Medium off-white head atop a clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, barnyard yeast, some peach. Taste is sugary sweet with a leaning toward peach -- no indication that this is a beer. Heck, it’s sweet for a fruit soda. Syrupy light-medium body, low carbonation. Given the absence of Belgian or other European ratings, I figure this is brewed especially for the U.S. Given how bad it is, I figure it’s because Liefmans knew better than to ruin their reputation back home.

(Bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grain, straw, and fruit cocktail syrup. Flavor of frozen peaches, corn syrup, and graininess in the background. What a wasted effort...

This poured a golden orange body with little of any head. The aroma is peach (Surprize!),maybe a bit too sweet. The flavor cuts back on the honey sweetness and delivers a fairly fresh fruit taste. Peachy finish and pretty refreshing.

Bottle: Golden peach color, white head, mild lacing. Nose is light, not very fruity, stale spice and sweet fruity flavor. A bit sweet and tart but overall a very unfulfilling sweet fruity beer.

Bottle. Poured hazy orange brown with a moderate froty white head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Heavy sweet preach aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Heavy sweet peachy flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Refreshing beer.

2005 bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately yeasty (cobwebs, basement, barnyard), with notes of nectarine/peach candy and honey. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. A bit more serious and beery than their Fruitesse line, but still not too interesting.

375 ml bottle. Sour, lambic type, aroma, but peach is underlying that. Hazy golden amber (or light peach) color with a minimal white head. Leaves some lacing. Thin to medium body with mild carbonation. The flavor is lightly sweet and peach. It is slightly tart, but there is no lambic sour. There is some spice, and it reminds of a pickled, spiced peach. It is very tasty and refreshing. Good for the style.

This is certainly better than the Tropicale made by the same brewery. Good peach aroma and flavor. But there are much better peach Lambics to be found in the wonderful world of beer. A bit too sweet, but a fun beer to drink.
