Bottle, pours a hazy ruby red with little head. A tangy preserved raspberry aroma with plenty of zestiness that reduces the sweetness - I love it. The sweetness doesn’t come straight away as the carbonation and sourness dominates the palate at first. This then gives way to the raspberry sweetness, which might be a little syrupy, but apart from that is pretty pleasant. But the finish cleanses with some good sourness. I like it, and so does The GrandMistress.

330ml corked bottle wrapped in paper. I thought I wouldn’t like this one, but I was impressed. The cork popped out by itself as it was being opened. It pours a dark brown/red color. The aroma is strong with franboise, not as sweet as I expected, and delicious. The taste is sweet with fruit, but also sour, a wonderful balance. Very good beer to drink occasionally, and it is VERY successful with girls! :)

Bottle from HogtownHarry. Thanks Harry! Pours a dark raspberry jam with a spritzy off white head that fades. Nose is black pepper, raspberry, earthy funk. Begins with very sweet, but tart, fresh raspberry flavor which blends very well with the more acidic base. Notes of raspberry vingar. If this was a framboise fruit lambic, I would be a little upset at the lack of barnyard character. Its not, and I’m not. A nice flemish sour.

This browish-red ale poured with a tiny pink head, eliciting a very strong and pleasant raspberry aroma. The raspberry blends well with the base, resulting in a tart, but sweet fruit flavor wafting above the the malt. Very nice!

Bottle. Deep red and brown with a small head. Aromas are sweet and sour raspberry with hints of vanilla. Flavours are raspberry, sugary initially followed by tart sourness. Tastes like cherry drop sweets. Good stuff.

Well this is just a pleasant one. Poured a brownish amber showing some red tints, with a huge webby fluffy head. At risk of sounding like Fred E, this is one noisy beer! I could hear the crackling of the head from a few feet away! I love the aroma, with hints of raspberry, pits or stone, and a slight funk, mostly like wet straw. The flavor was well balanced, with mild acidity, semi-dry, and just a touch of raspberry flavor. I was surprised at the low acidity/sourness, but I’m not sure how much of that is masked by the fruit. Either way, its very well balanced and amazingly easy drinking. Body is light, perhaps almost thin but not in a bad way. I appreciate the moderate alcohol content, I could drink and enjoy this whole 750 on a Monday night and not feel any ill effects.
