A very dark ruby-ish brown colour with a light lacing. The raspberries come right through, along with some heavy tartness, and acidity. Finishes rather dry. This is great stuff though I kinda prefer the Goudenband. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 21, 2004 Wonderful raspberry bouquet that begs to be tasted. Huge mousse-like red-tinged tan head on reddish borwn body. Head recedes slowly with excellent lacing. Nice strong raspberry sweetness with strong underlying malt flavour and a sweet yet tart yeast flavour that begs to be savoured. Balanced a bit on the sweet side but excellent nonetheless. High carbonation reminiscent of finest champagne. Bottle (green but wrapped in paper to keep out light - date on cork 2003). Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Well I really don’t give a “Rats Patootie” what sub-style it is, the one thing I know is that it’s a damn good tasting brew and that’s the most important thing to me the fact that I “enjoy” it!
As the beer sheds its 750ml green corked bottle the color is nebulous reddish-purple, the head is stupendous, creamy and a toothsome light tan in color, the lace clings mightily to the sniffer. The nose simply reeks of Raspberries, sweet and tart, crisp and a hint of yeast appears with the start ambrosial and the top is light to moderate in feel. Finish is prickly in its acidity, the flavor of the Raspberries carries to the very dry aftertaste, a real treat as I seem not to sample many Lambic’s, a sad fact of my continued search for the “Ultimate Beer Experience”.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2004 Sweet and fruity as can be. Full of rasberry flavor. Probably wouldnt really think it is beer unless I was told so. Sort of an carbonated alcoholic fruit juice. But, even though it does not really taste like beer, it is still very delicious. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2004 Ruby copper color with a head of light pink and orange. Aroma is raspberry. It is very bubbly and crisp with a fruity champagne coming to mind. This is an exceptional beer with a good aftertase and a subtleness that is very appealing. bluevegie (2228), Perth, Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2004 Cherry red colour with a touch of murkiness and a tinge of brown. Medium sized tan coloured head that lasted well and left some lace. The aroma was there, full but not overpowering raspberry. Taste is all raspberry, smooth full and long lasting, needs to be more sour for me though I still think it is a top drop and more preferable than the Kriek. This is the "all natural" opponent to the Lou Pepe line by Cantillon. The pour, scent flavor and palate were all preferrable to the Cantillon (in terms of "enjoyability". This is prepared just right, and finsihes, just like it starts - on top.
