Warmed up to 70° C. Spicy aroma, intensiv notes of cloves and sour cherries. Light almond note, too. Pink creamy, stiff head. Fruity, sweet and sourly flavor. Very nice notes of cherries but decent and not to intensive. Spicy, clove and cinemon notes. Very light dry finish. Great alternative to a glühwein. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jan 10, 2006 250ml bottle. Thick red sludge. Sweet cherry and winter spices aroma. The flavour is sweet, syrupy and sickly with a large spicy dose that really didn’t agree with me. I found this unpleasent. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

Great spicy aroma of cinnamon, cherry, alcohol and some red wine. Funny to taste warm beer, with carbonation. Nice flavour taste very simular to "Glügg". | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 6, 2006 This was a fun beer to try! The appearance is a red-brown, slightly hazy. The aroma is genuine stewed fruit-- principally cherries and plums-- with a strong clove element.
COLD: Real stewed fruit sweetness with fizzy carbonation, with a tart, astringent finish. Cloves, nutmeg, and sweet spices are all over the place. There is nothing "candy-ish" about the flavours here.
HOT: This warms nicely. The whole palate softens, and the fruity notes become more figgy and pruney. The astringency softens in the finish as well.
Overall an excellent fruit beer, and what I imagine a fruit beer should really be. hughie (3087), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

At 70C it takes on a new and unexpected life. Unlike many commercial krieks, the aroma really is of stewed cherry with the authentic bitterness and tartness of the fresh fruit. Also some date and plum. The taste adds nutmeg and cloves to the sweet-sourness of the cherries. Wonderful. Drink a whole jug.
