| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2005 Murky reddish brown colour with very little head. Aroma of sour cherries. The taste has a nice lactic tartness without being overwhelmingly so. Great taste of spiced cherries. drpimento (882), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 5, 2005 for a warmable sour cherry lambic, dis is da bomb. Brownish red mahogony, light head, had it both warmed and chilled. Thinking of very plump ripe cross of eating and pie cherries. Warmed and you pick up the cinnamon, and maybe allspice? Earthy aromas, a little oak and leather. Some tanin like flavor. Great for an after dinner digestif. bluevegie (2222), Perth, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2004 Cinnamon and slight cloves on the nose. Dull but deep cherry red body with a compact off-white head. Served warmed up. Cherry is the first up taste that you sense, then follows some of the cinnamon and the cloves, medium body, sweet, reminds me a little of a fruit tingle lolly. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 18, 2004 Fridge temp. Yet another beer that has a lovely ruby shade (turbid), but no head here...just like my wife (I love you, honey!). Big cherry, malt, and chardonnay aroma, with tastes hints of BIG cherries and a finishing blast of more berries, orange, some malt and hops, and Concord grapes. Some cinnamon and nutmeg in the finish. This one is very sweet, which is not a negative, and very full-palated, and just delicious. Less tart and more sweet than the regular Liefman’s kriek. This one is up there with the New Glarus Red and Raspy Tart as my favorite krieks of all time. Just a fruit explosion, and a marvelous beer. My wife even loves this one. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2004 Nice spicy cherry nose. Deep sweet cherries, with tartness, cinammon, a bit of clove and nutmeg. Wonderful. Dark ruby red clear with no head. Medium thick body with light carbonation. Starts with tart-sweet cherry flavor, saliva inducing. Followed by mellow mixture of warming spice. Cinammon, nutmeg, clove, brown sugar. I didn’t warm this up but drank it at room temp. Mild hops finish, but mainly a fruity spicy treat the whole way through. A bit warming with light alcohol presence. Just a nice cold weather, holiday-related treat.
