Cloudy deep red with a tiny off white head. Sweet aroma with cardemun, carnations and cherries. Sweet flavour with cherries, christmas spices and berries. Finished sweet.

75cl Bottle. Served hot. Clear red colour, almost no head. Aroma of sour cherries, cinnamon, clove. A little musty. Flavour is sour cherries at first, then sweet and spicy. Slightly sour finish. Medium bodied. Really nice. Also very good served cold, although it lacks some of the spicy flavour then.

Mulled. Beautiful dark ruby, small pink head. Black currant, sour cherries and earth on the sweet nose. Flavor is sweet cherry and mild christmas spices, little black currant. Very balanced. Great stuff on a winters eve, though nothing that exciting flavorwise. I should try it cold sometime.

Bottle. This was very strange but also very interesting! Poured unclear reddish brown with no head. Strange spices mixed with cherry in aroma like the scandinavian gløgg. Flavour is very spicy and sweet and the cherries are in the background. Strange but good.

At the vonk slijterij in zaandam, bit ruby, no head, less carbonation, uhhhm am I in a candystore? if its made with fully natural ingredients it would be very nice but I have my doubts, no ingredients on the bottle, and with unnatural ingredients no good rating, I woult say: liefmans send me the ingredients and I wil re-rate

From a hot pot at EBF 08. Served hot, spiced sherry beer. Served warm. It’s got mustiness and sherry. It’s ok. Just a bit spicey and extreme.

From a pot at EBF - hot. Deep red - no head (small bobbles). Cherry, marzipan, armonds, sweetness, berries, more like candy than beer - not for me !!!

Bottle. Tasted warm. Cherry, marzipan & almond. Cloying, sticky & sweet. Warming. Spices like cinnamon. Different experience but wouldnt choose it over "beer" anyday!
