Thanks hey_kevin for the sample of this ’97 vintage bottle. Notes from a January ’07 tasting. Hazy red caramel with a couple bubbles for a head. Aroma of some clove, light mint, sour acidic cherries, toffee, misc spices, and some tobacco. Flavor was reminiscent ofspiced apple cider on top of the other aromas, a bit of paper/cardboard, and a dry finish. No carbonation with a light to medium body. Very nice.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It poures a translucent reddish-brown body, almost without head. Lightly spiced nose, cherry-ish and mature, with clove and cinnamon. Really pleasant flavor, sweetish, cherryish and spiced. Quite oily in the mouth, full-bodied and un-carbonated. Spices and cherry in the finish. A pleasant one, but not one to enjoy all night. Cool not warm, this beer pours opaque red with a pinkish-brown head. Aroma and flavour of sweet cheeries mixed with spice, like a glögg. It’s very christmassy, also cold - and quite a nice experience too.

Bottle at home, many thanks to Craig cgarvieuk for this one, cheers Craig! 28-02-08 Pours rich cherry red colour with a tiny white head. This has a real cherry drop boiled sweet flavour to this. Have put this by the open fire to warm slightly, some sourness and sharpness flush through but these are soon beaten back by the sweet cherry flavours, the aroma is unsurprisingly cherry but a bit like a kids ice pop.

Bottle. Served warm @ Plan B, Copenhagen. Pours a reddish color with a small white head. Has a slightly spicy cherry aroma. Sweetish fruity cherry flavor with some spicy cinnamon hints. Has a sweetish malty fruity finish with hints of cherries.

An old bottle from Geir Ove. Spices and cherries in the aroma. Pepper. The cherry flavour has evolved into something peach-like. Complex, yet clean. It still has a sour edge.

No head. Deep dark red body. Cherry cardboard and wool aroma, nice and harmonic. Sweetish wool blanket and cottton cherry with cardboard and wood notes. Aftertaste is the same. Powerful and complex. Held up well to storage. (0.25l bottle with gr0ve. BBD of 2003.)
