Bottle @ The Dovetail, served warm. I did try this @ The Kerstbier Fest but took no notes, although this is one I don’t mind having again. Blood red with a thin beige head. Glace cherries, cinnamon and cloves in the nose. Taste is much the same, tart and juicy with real cherry flavour. Nice thick syrupy palate, a great winter warmer...

25cl bottle- Served warm. Red/brown in colour with an appealing cherry aroma which is reminiscent of a mulled wine. Spices are also detected. The taste is quite tangy with cherries and spices and some almonds. Very nice and a bit of a novelty to have a beer like this but very good to have it warm in the colder months.

Bottle. Cold: Semi-clear browny-red with no head. Nose is overwhelmingly cherry and warm alcohol. Mouth is full glace cherry with sharp cherryness in the finish, sugar in abundance. Leaves a coating and fizzy sharp taste, sherbert at the end.
Warm Warm glace cherries in the nose, not much else, some sharpness. Mouth is mulled wine, strong cherries, sweetness, something to be stunned at. Palate is a true winter warmer, yes not your standard beer, whiff of baby powder, but sour fruit and a commanding end. Brilliant at this time of year!

Bottle, bought @ Kolding Vinhandel.
[Vintage 2006]
Cold: Pours a clear redish brown with no head. Weak aroma of cherries, cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins. Light carbonation. Light sweet flavour with lots of spices - quite cloying.
Warm: Colour is deep warm red with an okay creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet with a powerful dose of cherries, lots of Christmas spices and a little viniousness. Still manages a little fresh carbonation, despite the heating. Flavour is lightly tart with a heavy sweetness, lots of cherries and lots of spices - sweet ones, at that. It is really great, but the sweetness ends up a little cloying.

75cl bottled at home from Take One in Mestreech. served at 70c was funny, visual is damaged by the lack of foam. Sour cherry comes through dominantly with some sugar and hints of cinammon maybe. Sweetish finish. nice for a change

On tap at 13e Kerstbierfestival, Essen, served at 65 degrees Celcius. Deep red-brown colour with only a few bubbles on top. Sharp cherry aroma with added spices. The cherries have probably seen quite a bit of sugar, though there is some dry wooden impact as well. A difficult-to-rate beer.
