bluebetty (91), Australia Oct 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours a lovely deep mahongany. Small tan head that disappears pretty quickly. Not much in the way of lacing. Aroma shows plenty of sournness. Plenty balsamic vinegar, red wine / port and sour cherries. Also seems to be some cork or perhaps oak near the finish. Flavours initially show some malt sweetness. A little fresh apple and some dark fruits. Plenty of vinegar sourness on the finish. Extremely well balance and a wonderful beer. Wim (1278), Turnhout, Belgium Oct 17, 2009 dark red brown coloured body with a little white head a sweet soury fruity aroma a fruity sweet little soury taste with a soury fruity bitter finish BeerChaser0078 (284), Melbourne, Australia Oct 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours very dark copper with a little tan head that quickly vanishes. Aroma is a little sour with notes of blackberries, blackcurrant, toffee, and sour cherry. Flavour is also quite sour (no great surprise) and vinous with a lot similarity to the aroma but with added hints of caramel, oak and raspberry. Nice mix of sweet and sour overall which has a generous body and a fairly astringent finish. The first beer I have tried in this style and I will be seeking out more. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 24, 2009 Source:1999, 1.5 L magnum shared with a few friends.
Glass:Tumbler.
Appearance:Ruddy brown pour with a one finger off white head.
Aroma:Ripe fruits, green apples and funk.
Flavor:Heavy apples, both green and red, with a sour cherry finish.
Palate:Light body with solid carbonation.
Overall:Not bad for a 10 year old beer, but I would have expected a little more sourness.

Fruity esters in the aroma. Cherries, berries & grapes. Sour grapes. Lots of vinous tones. Astringent lactic sour finish. But well balanced and very drinkable. Alcohol completely unnoticeable. trapez (766), Hilleroed, Denmark Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of berries, malt and yeast. Brown colour with beige head.
