It poured a clear dark liquid with a small white foam. It smelled frutiy and sour. It was smooth with just a hint of acidicy and tasted fruity and sweet and sour.

Bottle. Pours ’oud bruin’ with a minimalistic head. Fruity esters in the aroma. Cherries, berries & grapes. Sour grapes. Lots of vinous tones. Astringent lactic sour finish. But well balanced and very drinkable. Alcohol completely unnoticeable.

Bottle. Aroma of berries, malt and yeast. Brown colour with beige head. Sweet fruity flavour, raspberries and raisins. slightly sour in the end. Mild due to low to moderate carbonation.

Bottle at the Where the Wild Beers are event. Clear brown, thin white head. Caramel and prune. Sweet! Cloying in fact. Lots of caramel, nearly rotten plum and prune. Finishes sweet and lingering, with a lot of cough syrup on it.

At a tasting, many thanks Shahar, murky light brown with reddish taints, aroma of moss like a very old wine cellar, with notes of apples. wood, and maple. Strong and dominant sourness balanced perfectly by a dried fruits sweetness. very long sour aftertaste which mellows in time. Excellent brew.

Thanks Shachar for sharing this one, hazy deep bronze with a nice tan head, aroma of barnyard, humid air, kinky aroma balanced with nice flowers and vinous tones, flavor is complex, soil, dampness, dry fruits, grapes, zesty on the tongue with some nice acids and gentle bitter finish. Great stuff

750mL bottle (I think that was the size) at our KW group tasting, thanks to Jan Primus! 2006 vintage. It poured a murky burgundy with a lot of yeasty floaties. The aroma is nice and complex, berries, chocolate, sour cherry, soy, vanilla, yeast, all in one massive clusterf*** in the nose. Flavour has all the same elements but with a hugely astringent finish to balance it out, which is a major benefit. Sour cherry features most prominently, with the yeast. Alcohol is not at all noticable. I like clumps of stuff in beer sometimes and this one satisfies that want. Very nice beer and super refined after all the aging.
