37.5 cl bottle, bbe 2009. Darkish orange colour, slight haze, small off-white head composed of big bubbles and, very remarkably, large and numerous yeast flakes everywhere (I guess some wouldn’t consider that a particularly pretty sight, but I actually like it!). Faint and sweetish aroma of walnuts and caramel. Neutral and sweetish taste with some peppery spiciness and alcohol. Relatively watery palate.

375 ml bottle, best before Jan. 2007. Cloudy pale golden orange colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. Spicy and acidic aroma with dry yeasty notes. Lightly spicy, fruity, caramel, and sour flavours, finishing yeasty and dry. Light bodied, dry and fizzy.

Light golden hue, cast with yeast. Thin, slightly lactic/tannic, some fruit but nothing like Liefamans other products. None of the wonderful balance and depth of something like Lindemans Cuvee gueze.

Bottle. Bread aroma primarily with hints of apple and tannins. Amber with smaller head. Light malt, bread and tannic flavor - rather subtle. Not a lot of body for a Belgian ale - nicely drinkable but not spectacular.

(Bottle 33 cl) Amber coloured with a nice, huge head. Some fruity, spicy notes - almost tripel-like, if it wasn’t for the rather low alcohol. Some iron in the aftertaste. Decent but far from exceptional. 041196

Amber color, with light foamy head, yeasty, fruity, sweet brown sugar aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate, with stewed apples, spicy cinnamon, developping in a light dry bitterness finish.

Half bottle, corked

Hazy amber color; frothy head. Light malty aroma, a bit sour and corky. Too much carbonation; very dry taste, a bit astringent, corky; quite watery and disgusting.
