Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Small head. Smells of horse manure with a hint of urine. Quite dry with a mellow bitterness. Aromas of barnyard and a hint of horse blanket and wet dog with a tiny dash of pepper. medium to light bodied. Dry horse manure finish. 2.9... Hmm, maybe I don’t mind horse shite that much.

Really an excellent, underrated, funky beer. My 37.5 bottle from 2006 pours orange-gold with huge, lacy head that recedes. Interesting nose, tart, fruity and musty -- how about a bowl of sliced, unripe peaches atop a dusty barrel in the middle of a lambic brewery? Initial tart fruit flavor, carried by lively, pinprick carbonation, pops into quick and lasting dryness. Damn, that is DRY. Dry as a bone suspended in cobwebs. Awesome. That citric tartness and lively bubbles keep it refreshing. More complex than I expected. Most importantly, it just tasted good.

Bottle. A slightly hazy, golden-orange beer with a diminishing, beige head. Fruity, sugary aroma with some caramel and tea. Quite pleasing. Sweet and fruity caramel flavor with some hoppy bitterness and a dusty touch. Medium to full body. Pleasant hoppy fruityness and some sweetness in the finish. Rather dry feeling towards the end, considering the sweetness. A pleasant, quaffable beer, but probably not worth the rather high price. (071215)

Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph. [vintage 2005]
Pours a rather bland, hazy golden amber with a big frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a slight bit of spices. Okay mouthfeel, lots of miniature bubbles. Flavour is malty, lightly tart, cloves, oranges and rather dry in its finish. This is a nice enough beer, though nothing spectacular.

07 bottle. Clear orangey golden body with medium size head. Sweet aroma with notes of orange. Taste is a little bland really, some soft cloves, yeast and not a lot else.

It’s an orange beer with a really nice, white head. The aroma is like new, fresh hay and light, sweet summer fruits. The flavour is sweetish, very harmonic and nicely balanced with notes of fruits like sweet orange and melon, and it has a slightly citrussy note too. I fell in love with this one - simply nice....
